Tonight hubby was away for work and after a long day with playgroup and doing house work, I just did not want to cook dinner. After browsing on the Eatnow website I decided to try an old favourite of mine, Chinese food. The Jade village Chinese restaurant in Mitcham really stood out to me so I decided to order from there.
Looking over the menu I decided on the crispy skinned chicken, chicken in blackbean sauce and fried rice. As a bonus the super friendly delivery guy gave me a pack of prawn crackers (SCORE!!)
I first tried the crispy chicken with some soy sauce and oh em gee, it was so tasty and delicious! The amount in the container was generous and the accompanying greens made the dish a surprising tasty winner! The only suggestion would be to add seasoning as without the soy the chicken would of been quite bland..
Second I tried the chicken in blackbean sauce and that too was incredible. The chicken was so so soft and literally melted in the mouth. The sauce was light in colour but had a flavour hit that left me wanting more.
The fried rice would have to be one of the tastiest fried rices’ that I have tried in a long time. The flavours all worked together and there was no skimping on ingredients. This fried rice had it all.
All up with the friendly service, great tasting food with generous servings and my awesome freebie, I give Jade village Chinese an 8.5/10!
